SITC Principal’s House

The SITC Principal’s House was known as the Guest House, the home of O.T. Dussek, the first English SITC Principal. The house consists of two floors with the bottom level made of bricks while the top is made of wood. It is located in the southernmost part of the campus, close to the Bernam River. During World War II, the SITC Principal’s House was used as the British Army Hospital. After the retreat of the British Army, it became the headquarters and hospitals of Japanese Army . After the end of World War II, the house was believed to have been abandoned and uninhabited until 2002. The house was renovated and painted new for the first time in 2002 to be the temporary home for the 3rd Vice-Chancellor of UPSI, Tan Sri Dr. Muhammad Rais bin Abdul Karim. The 4th Vice-Chancellor of UPSI, Professor Emeritus Dato’ Dr. Aminah binti Ayob lived in this house from 2008 to 2011. It is now a university guest house as well as a place to organize social activities of university staffs such as tahlil events, meetings, alumni meetings, and so on.
