The building had been used as a dining hall for SITC and MPSI from 1922 to 1983 and accommodated between 300 to 400 students at one time. When Dato ‘Abdul Razak (SDAR) school was established at SITC compound in 1957, this dining hall was also used by SDAR students. In November 1983, the dining hall building was renovated and converted into MPSI Library until October 2003. In December 2004, the Library moved to a new building, and this building was repurposed into UPSI ICT Center until 2010. Since June 2010, the Technical and Vocational Faculty of UPSI has taken over this building until now.
