SITC Exercise Hall
The STIC Exercise Hall was a place for STIC students to do leisure activities such as exercise, gymnastics and indoor sports events. Additionally, on weekends there were movie shows for entertainment to relax the minds of SITC students. In an emergency, the building was buried with a mortar by a communist terrorist. The incident took place on October 23, 1951. The attack had shocked students who were watching the English show. However, the attack did not cause any casualties, resulting only minor damages to the building pole as the attack was actually directed at the “Home Guard” team guarded outside the college area. Now, this building is known as UPSI Art Gallery which showcases paintings and art works of UPSI students and homeland art activists.
